About Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2009
Once again the small village of Cropredy, near Oxford will welcome back Fairport's Cropredy Convention for another electric
folk and soft rock extravaganza.
Around 20,000 festival-goers are set to attend the established event, which has been
running since 1980. Fairport Convention will continue the tradition of headlining the Saturday night, bringing the festival
to a fitting finale.
Around 30 acts are set to appear at the three-day festival, which organisers have billed as 'Britain's
Friendliest Music Festival'. Bars will be well stocked with lagers, ciders, wine, soft drinks and some choice real ales and
with no backstage area you may be supping your pint next to a famous musician.
The festival site includes a well-managed
campsite and good facilities for the disabled, including a well-sited viewing platform.
You can even park your car
next to your tent, however if you wish to camp with friends or family you must meet up somewhere off-site and drive in together
as spaces cannot be saved.
