The ever evolving and expanding Summer Sundae Weekender returns for it’s ninth edition in 2009 with five packed stages of music, comedy and cabaret rolling across three days.
The event comes highly commended after winning the Best Small Festival award in 2006 and it has maintained its high standard of excellence ever since. Acts of international acclaim share the stage with emerging bands, as part of a well thought out and crafted line-up that extends from rock and pop to dance, roots and electronica.
Macy Gray, Simian Mobile Disco and Supergrass and over 100 others attracted around 6,000 fans each day of the festival in 2008, so expect more high-calibre and varied artists this time around.
Summer Sundae is also a family friendly affair, which caters for the children’s needs as much as it does the adults. The Kid’s Zone provides relief for parents with face painting, children’s shows, clowns, workshops and breakfast-time fun and bed-time stories.
There will also be bars and eateries onsite as well as camping available over the weekend.
