Taking over the infamous Knebworth House for two-days is the brand new Sonisphere Festival – a weekend of heavy rock and metal topped by Metallica and Linkin Park.
There will be two open air stages and a third tent with the likes of Lamb Of God, Mastodon Bullet For My Valentine set to tear eardrums by turning the speakers up to 11.
Brought to you by Stuart Galbraith – the former promoter of Monsters of Rock and Download Festival – the event is in experienced hands and it is set to debut with plenty of alternative entertainment including DJs, soundsystems, walkabouts, cinema, freak shows and food stalls.
Organisers are putting the emphasis on quality rather than quantity in regards to the bands, with two of the stages alternating live music so festival-goers get to catch everyone.
60,000 fans are expected at the English leg of the festival, which will include DJs, soundsystems, walkabouts, cinema, freak shows and food stalls.
VIP tickets are available, which include VIP camping with hot showers , tickets, backstage entry and VIP passes. The campsite opens from Thursday afternoon for early birds pass holders.
