Voted the Best Family Festival in the 2007 UK Festival Awards, Solfest returns to Tarnside Farm, Cumbria for another three-day soiree. The event has an open music policy that spans Celtic, world, roots, pop, folk, dance and everything in between.
Artists range from top names like The Levellers and Badly Drawn Boy to fresh talent and local artists. The festival remains intimate with around 6,500 revellers attending last year to enjoy the Main Stage, Drystone Stage, Bar Stage, Chill Out Area, Dance Tent and workshops for the young and the old.
The festival prides itself on minimising its ecological impact and fairly traded food and goods in its four mini markets. There is also a healing area and plenty of children’s activities to keep the little’uns amused.
