As iconic as Glastonbury’s pyramid, the orange horns of Roskilde’s main stage provided the backdrop to sets from Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers and Sigur Ros last year.
The festival is also famed for the diversity of the entertainment on offer with skating, rock climbing walls and a multitude of other arty distractions and activities that will enthral punters.
The festival’s award winning waste disposal system is also likely to be seen in action as 75,000 festival goers from all over Europe flock to the Danish town of Roskilde to indulge in the Scandinavian summer.
International flights run through Copenhagen International Airport, only 35km from the festival site while trains run to Roskilde station.
Finally Roskilde has launched the Green Footprint initiative that gives festival goers the chance to earn an exclusively reserved camping spot. Find out how you can obtain green footprints on the road to the festival at www.roskilde-festival.dk
