After years of delays to the Wembley Stadium ‘fiasco’, Muse could be the first band to play the brand new 90,000-capacity home of English football.

Having headlined the Carling: Reading and Leeds festivals in 2006, the band are set to cement their place alongside the likes of the Stones, The Who and Queen – who have all played the stadium in the past.

The concert will have a capacity of 75,000 for this and, presumably, all its gigs. Sources say anoth high profile act could play Wembley Stadium before Muse, in between their scheduled show and the FA Cup at the end of May.
