Liverpool Music Week 2010 kicks off on 29th October and runs throughout November. The festival, now in its 8th year, has grown from a single venue gig to a burgeoning nationally recognised event attracting over 65,000 people last year.
The Liverpool Music Week line up is by far the biggest and most diverse to date, covering every genre imaginable from rock, indie, dance, folk, leftfield and beyond.
However, despite attracting big name artistes and staging some of the city’s biggest ticketed shows, the true ethos behind the festival still remains, which is to support new music and offer a performance platform for fresh emerging talent.
Liverpool Music Week will stage over 80 events and play host to over 400 live acts, many of which are free of charge. Liverpool Music Week tickets are of varying prices so as well as checking out the big name acts, be sure to check out the free music gigs which are in abundance, you may be surprised at what you find.
