International rock festival the Eurockeennes has been taking place on the peninsula of Maulsacy since 1989.
Eurockeennes is one of the best known festivals in france, having built up a reputation in its 20 years of existence for a diverse range of artists, showcasing both international talent and homegrown french artists across three open stages, and a marquee; ensuring it appeals of music fans of any genre.
The setting is beautiful, surrounded by lakes and hills with one of the stages on the beach. The food and drink stalls are numerous and filled with a wide variety of different things to tempt your taste-buds – a far cry from the overpriced standard fare.
The campsite is located a short walk along a disused rail line from the festival site. Shuttles drive regularly for those who don’t fancy the scenic stroll. The campsite is really well organised and there are plenty of facilities, including food / drink stalls, entertainment and dancing.
