Since 1990 the Larmer Tree festival has nestled itself among the extravagant Victorian gardens of the same name. The enchanting surroundings of the event combine with a blend of blues, folk and acoustic acts as well as reggae, roots and world music artists to create a magical and unique boutique atmosphere.
The likes of Billy Bragg, Jools Holland, Courtney Pine and Dreadzone have appeared in previous years and over 70 international, national and local artists are set to play this time round. The festival is also famous for the peacocks and macaw that roam amongst the trees and arbours.
The five day event offers a wide array of workshops for children and adults, holistic therapies in a Secret Garden and eccentric street theatre, before culminating in a carnival procession on the final day.
Festival goers can tailor make their experience by selecting a package ranging from one to five days. Day ticket holders are allowed to camp the night after the festivities.
