The play tells the story of seven very different visitors to the annual music festival at Glastonbury. The couples meet, part, take drugs and then party, before the story spins to its dramatic and bleak conclusion.
Glastonbury has been written by Zoe Lewis. It is extremely funny, devastingly-insightful and it represents a radical departure from the norms of modern theatre. Each performance of Glastonbury features brief performances from musicians and DJs who feature as part of the storyline.
Directed by Keith Allen, a long-time veteran of the festival, the play will star Allen, Kieran O’Brien (Cracker, Messiah), Chris Coghill (‘Bez’ in 24 Hour Party People), Bronwyn Davies (Spooks), Paul Broughton, Kate Ford, Milo Twomey.. The set was designed by Damien Hirst. The Glastonbury tour is being produced by Best Behaviour Productions. Taking in four cities it looks like this:
