Newcastle’s Evolution Music Festival awaits you on the Bank Holiday weekend with its outdoor shows at Spiller’s Wharf and Baltic Square on the Gateshead quayside. Since its first free event in 2006, the Evolutions is getting bigger and bigger every year, but the organizers purposely view it as a weekender rather than a festival. A third stage was recently added for folk and roots music offering a nice complement to the two main stages. It’s here you’ll find artists like Paolo Nutini, Enter Shikari, Fake Blood, and Delphic and more.
