New for 2006, End Of The Road extends the UK festival season further still into September with a small three-day event at the stunning Larmer Tree Gardens reflecting a long time labour of love for two young festival fanatics who are setting it up.

Inspired by the Green Man festival, the pair are pioneering a corporate-free weekender that invites bands to get fully involved in proceedings via DJ sets, workshops or presenting films, as well as their sets (which organisers promise will be longer than normal).

There will also be an emphasis on all the ‘little things’ that make a great festival, such as good food (organic, local, fair trade etc), quality beer, recycling and environmental initiatives, and even ‘caring and well-mannered staff’!

There will also be a Scandinavian twist with some of the acts hailing from Northern Europe and loads of Scandinavian stuff going on, such as Viking games and Swedish food!
