The Camden Crawl is the Mystic Meg of the festival world. Showcasing over 80 up-and-coming indie and rock outfits, the two-day event is usually a good measure of who’s likely to hit it big over the summer months.
Just for good measure the two-day affair throws in a few big names with Amy Winehouse, Babyshambles and Ash headlining last year’s event. Acts play across 15 venues around the area all of which are in easy walking difference of one another.
Electric Ballroom, Underworld, Lock 17, Koko, Purple Turtle, Barfly, Dublin Castle and Castle Bullet all stage gigs which run from midday until around 2am. The line-up will be announced in the New Year but venue bills aren’t announced until the day itself, allowing the ‘what to see when’ panic to set in very late on.
From our experience, it is best to move about as little as possible, especially later on, as huge queues can get in the way of some of the more popular acts.
