The quirky Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is set to unravel in the Scottish Highlands for its eighth edition in August 2011 and still remains one of Britain’s most northerly festivals.

The non-corporate and family-friendly festival is widely renowned for maintaining the feel of the early festivals of the 60s and 70s and sticking closely to its Scottish heritage with traditional ceilidh music held on the Thursday.

Expect an eclectic line-up at Belladrum that could feature anything from Scouting For Girls to The Waterboys as well as comedy, poetry, debate, performance art, family activities and burlesque entertainment.

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival tickets are on sale now.
