The annual Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival returns for its fifth event in 2008 after cementing itself on the summer live music calendar despite remaining one of Britan’s most northerly festivals.

The family-friendly feel and home-grown atmosphere gives Belladrum has an ethos and experience akin to early 60’s and 70’s festivals and it sticks close to it’s Scottish heritage with the event opening with traditional Ceilidh on the Thursday night.

Last year the likes of The Magic Numbers, James and Alabama 3 were among the 50-odd acts that perform over the weekend. Aside from the music there is entertainment in the form of comedy, poetry, debate, performance art, family activities and burlesque entertainment.
