A festival Mecca for discerning indie trendies whose haircuts are too angled to survive tents, All Tomorrow’s Parties throws the mother of all alternative music feasts – as usual taking place in a Butlins holiday centre over three days.
Each ATP event is curated by a different band or artists. Australia’s Dirty Three are hand-picking the bill this time round, promising another eclectic lineup of envelope-pushing underground and established acts performing across two indoor stages.
Chalet and ‘hotel’ accommodation means you can shower whenever you like, eat the food you choose to bring and skin up without fear of wind gusts or your tent burning down. However, it also means you have to book in groups, so start calling up your mates to arrange it now.
Being Butlins there are loads of activities taking place other than cracking live music, including sporting facilities plus a cinema, a huge water park, ten-pin bowling and an amusement arcade.
