About End Of The Road Festival 2009
Following last year's sell-out event End Of The Road Festival returns to the stunning grandeur of Larmer Tree Gardens in
Dorset. A previous winner of Best New Festival at the UK Festival Awards, the three-day indie, folk and Americana getaway
now traditionally marks the close of the festival season.
With an intimate capacity of just 5000, organisers can concentrate
on the finer details of the festival, the finer points which make the event so special. The corporate-free festival also gives
its acts longer sets to play in a bid to encourage artistic freedom, allowing fans to focus on the music rather than a brand.
Expect
some well-known acts as well as top emerging talent with Bon Ivor, Laura Marling and Tindersticks performing in 2008. Also
expect the unexpected with surprise shows, artist workshops and band DJ sets appearing at regular intervals over the years.
End
Of The Road also includes an array of organic, local and fair-trade food, good beer, environmental and sustainability schemes
as well as 'caring and well-mannered staff'.
