DUBAI DESERT ROCK FESTIVAL 2008

Since its debut event in 2004 Dubai Desert Rock has rapidly cemented itself as the number one heavy rock event in the Middle East with the line-up presenting a mixture of international heavyweights and local rock outfits.

Desert Rock has had its fair share of controversy though with Limp Bizkit pulling their headline slot because Fred Durst thought the area was 'unsafe'. Bands without cowardice, like The Darkness, have caused a stir too when they had to lose their spandex due to Middle Eastern culture.

Additional attractions for the festival include an extreme sports show, temporary airbrush tattoo artists, graffiti boards for artists to leave their mark as well as a market.less
