The UKs biggest, loudest and coolest rock and metal festival kicks off the major weekend festival calendar for 2006. Three days full of distortion fuelled fury from some of the world's most important names in music rock out at the even more legendary venue Donington Park.

Fans can expect to mosh down the front of the pit on the main stage, chill out and watch BMX stunts whilst catching new and emerging talent at the Soul Bowl, go on the fair rides or even watch a film at the cinema!

2006 also sees more camping and on-site entertainment than ever before as well as public internet access and secure charging for phones, iPods, cameras, laptops and other gizmos.

Korn singer explains Download no-show

Korn's Jonathan Davis has sent a message to fans describing 'the scariest days of his life' since he was rushed to hospital with a life-threatening blood infection, causing him to miss his appearance at last weekend's Download Festival.
