Approximately the same size as Reading Festival, two main stages dominate the site with three extra tents alongside. Everything is meticulously planned and put together and it can feel like dinner at the White House compared to some of its British equivalents.

It also has a tradition of booking some of the world's biggest bands, with Radiohead, The White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, and Blur all playing in recent years. Coachella also has a proven track record of reuniting bands to play at the festival, and was responsible in part for bringing Pixies back together.

So don't forget your camera or your sunscreen, but remember also, it gets damn cold at night!less
