About Bloodstock Open Air 2011
From its humble beginnings at the Assembly Rooms in Derby in 2001, Bloodstock has since grown into the biggest independent
metal festival in the UK. Held at the picturesque location of Walton on Trent in Derbyshire, BOA has won the hearts and minds
of fans of heavy music fans by consistently showcasing the strongest metal line up out there, and 2011 looks set to be no
different.
Held in high regard by both fans and industry alike it's easy to see why 2010's anniversary event secured
Best Festival Under 15,000 at the Live UK Music Business Awards - as well as two nominations in the UK Festival Awards. With
a taste for the best metal and heavy rock acts from these shores and across the globe, you can expect some 12,000 metal heads
descending on Derbyshire in August 2011 for a weekend of unadulterated full on Heavy Metal!!!
Boasting over 80 international
rock and metal acts across three stages, the festival also has a huge international metal market, the infamous late night
metal Karaoke, fair ground rides, 'The Bloodstock Arms' festival bar serving real ale, full weekend camping and one of the
best atmospheres the festival scene has to offer. Add to this a signing tent where you can meet your favourite bands, and
- for those of you who need those extra creature comforts - an extra special VIP experience with VIP camping and access to
the 'Serpents Lair' backstage bar, which offers 40 different real ales, this really is an unmissable date in the headbangers
calendar. Metal brethren at your marks!
If you've already got your festival tickets why not travel by train? Most of
the UK's festivals are ideally located within a short distance of railway stations and often, the festivals provide a shuttle
bus service to take you directly from the station to the site. Raileasy recommends that everyone books their train tickets
early; cheap tickets are released up to 12 weeks in advance and you could save up to 80%. Go green; take the train to this
year's summer festivals.
Raileasy is an easy to use online retailer of train tickets, helping you to find the best
fare to fit your needs. Delivering value on advanced rates and offering flexibility with journey times, Raileasy sells a full
range of tickets throughout the UK. Raileasy is committed to protecting the environment and encourages travellers to choose
the greener option and go by train, rather than flying or driving. To view train ticket availability, including times and
prices go to new.raileasy.co.uk.
