About Beat Herder Festival 2009
Beat Herder is the evolved offspring of Northern England's underground party scene. The festival is a three-day soiree of
beats and barminess at Dockber Farm in Lancashire's Ribble Valley.
But small doesn't necessarily mean less and the
event lines up an eclectic selection of handpicked artists and DJs ready to rock the farm's four stages. Beat Herder also
rounds up some world-famous names with Zion Train, Utah Saints and the Dub Pistols Soundsystem performing in the past.
Contemporary
art, a Shisha Lounge, a cinema, belly dancers and a Big Brother-esque Diary Room all give it a unique twist. There is also
a Wonky Donkey area specially for the children including circus and craft workshops, swing boats, face painting and climbing
frames.
