(See also Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies for releases prior to 2006). On December 29th the band announced that, save for a final tour in March 2010, they will cease to make music together. Writing on the band's myspace blog, singer and guitarist Andrew Mears said, "we're still friends, still love to play and there's no attitude about any of this; we're all at good points in our lives, just very different ones. Life has spread us out over the country now and it's become a logistical nightmare to get our shit together."
