Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival

The Noorderzon festival is an internationally renowned performing arts festival that takes over the city of Groningen and one of the city's major parks for a full 11 days.

All kinds of artists, performers, exhibitions and displays invade the leafy Noordeplantsoen, plunging punters into a colourful wonderland.

Big names such as Angus and Julia Stone, C-Mon & Kypski and Esser have also taken on the musical responsibilities at the various park and downtown venues in the past, ensuring all creative appetites are quelled quite nicely.

The town of Groningen provides an array of accommodation from municipal campsites to luxury hotels. Groningen Noord Station is the closest to the main festival hub and is connected to Amsterdam Schipol Airport, the closest international travel hub, via the Dutch national rail network.
