The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival was born in 1999, allowing festival-goers in the North of England to enjoy the stunning and often exclusive line-ups that its older brother Reading secured.

Both festivals make up The Carling Weekend, the UK's only simultaneously occurring three-day festival, with the line-ups rotating between the two sites.

In contrast to the more 'intense' urban setting of Reading, Leeds takes place in the smaller, but far more pictureque and laid back setting of Bramham Park (10 miles outsied the city), having moved from its original venue (Temple Newsham Park) in 2003.
